"Your people want to make a statue in your honor. What will it be made out of, and what victory will it commemorate?"

ed: It will be made out of paper so that it can be recycled and put to better use. This will commemorate a victory of wisdom over short-sighted idiocy.

Celebrate my ideas where they are worthy of celebration.  Celebrate me, and you stand the chance of celebrating my errors.

ed's perspective I: The Unexamined Life is one that is Yet to be Lived.

To do otherwise renders one nothing but a holographic projection of the appetites of our times.

ed's perspective II: The Root of All Evil finds its Incubatory Refuge in that which is Perceived to be Good. 

It is the certainty of human fallibility that makes our most cherished beliefs the incubator of the greatest of evils.

ed's perspective III: The certainty of human fallibility is that which argues against the reality of 'modernity'. 

'Modernity' is 'Arrogance', as it recognises a particular perspectival status quo as true and natural.  Till humanity becomes infallible, all 'modernity' is suspect.  The belief that we are living in 'modern' times is that which will insure that human fallibility will be a constant.

ed's perspective IV: Methinks tis' an appreciation of the depth of the 'shadows' that doth make us more photosynthetic to the 'Light'.
