Modern Talking ringtone - medley
This was one of my favourite
groups back in the 80s - though very few would admit to it given Modern
Talking's popularity amongst the 'ah bengs' (a sector of the chinese population
whom were considered to be uncouth and 'rough'). The way I see it, it
doesn't matter who likes what. All that matters is if it is worth liking
despite whom likes it. This was 'disco' music back then where people
could actually have a conversation whilst dancing. It spoke of 'innocence
and love' as opposed to 'arrogance and lust' which is the perspectival theme of today's
'music'. The mind of the individual was involved in the dance
whereas today's raved-about 'hip hop', 'RnB' tripe, amongst other trance-y dance stuff, requires
instinctual non-thinking reaction to the rhythms of the song. Everybody,
in other words, dances together but are disabled from dancing with each
other.
