Duran Duran ringtone - chauffeur
I absolutely loved this number by yet another 80's group - Duran Duran. The flute, rhythm and soft cymbals flow together to create a melancholic introspection-inspiring piece. The video is beautiful with the sensuality being utilised to indicate something more profound than that which is usually insinuated at by the exposition of bare skin. My favourite part is where the topless chauffeur dances. She is sensual without being aware of her sexuality. She seems to feed off the atomosphere created by the two women and then goes on to being oblivious of their presence as she expresses her inner self. Her steps are not designed to please the viewer but only to express her Self. She is both apart from, and a part of, the scene. I suppose a relatively profound people cannot help but produce music of relatively greater quality even though it is within the superficial and increasingly insensible arena of 'pop'.
